NASA is hours from launching a new chapter in human space

Thousands are gathering in and around the Kennedy Space Center waiting for NASA's 'mega moon rocket' debut flight into space, and most importantly it's Orion spacecraft that will head to the moon.

Axar.az reports that the two-hour launch window opens at 8:33 a.m. ET and hundreds of thousands of people are expected along Florida's Space Coast eagerly anticipating this historic mission.

This is the start of the Artemis mission, Artemis I. While there won't be any crew on board except for three mannequins and a plush Snoopy this is a crucial step in returning humans to space.

Artemis II is set to launch in 2024 or 2025, with four astronauts who will orbit the moon, including a Canadian.
