SkyDrive to conduct first flying car demo in Tokyo

Japanese company SkyDrive will hold its first demonstration flights in Tokyo for the eVTOL “SkyDrive SD‑05”.

Axar.az, citing Japanese Media, reports that the unmanned flights will operate via autopilot and remote control, circling from the temporary parking area to nearby waters.

Visitors can observe the flights and participate in a mock boarding experience using facial recognition and security checks.

SkyDrive aims to begin commercial operations after 2026, following prior unmanned demos at Osaka’s Expo 2025.
