France’s Macron names new Louvre museum director

French President Emmanuel Macron has appointed Christophe Leribault, the current head of the Versailles Palace, as director of the Louvre museum in Paris, the French government spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Axar.az informs, citing Reuters, Macron on Tuesday accepted the resignation of the head of Paris’ Louvre museum, which has been grappling with the fallout from a high-profile jewel heist and rolling strikes.
