A new high-level meeting between Armenia and Russia is planned for the second half of June 2026.
Axar.az informs that this was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to Pashinyan, during his recent trip to Moscow, an official meeting was held alongside a working lunch with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The conversation took place in a sincere atmosphere. I consider the visit very successful. Others are free to make their own assessments. Regarding the one-on-one meeting, we have already agreed on additional contacts and measures, including a high-level meeting in the second half of June,” he said.
Pashinyan noted that during the meeting, previously publicly stated issues were discussed:
“Currently, Armenia-Russia relations are in a transformative phase, and I view this process positively. We intend to continue our interactions within a friendly dialogue framework.”
He also commented on Armenia’s approach to engagement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the European Union (EU):
“Armenia intends to continue this course as long as it is possible to align policies toward both organizations. In the event of a conflict, the decision will be made together with the country’s citizens. Until that time comes, I see no need for additional comments.”
