Baltic states reject Moscow’s drone accusations

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania’s foreign ministers have rejected Moscow’s accusations that their territories and airspace were used for drone attacks on targets in Russia.

Axar.az reports that a joint statement by the three countries was published on the website of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The Baltic states have never allowed their territories and airspace to be used for drone attacks against targets in Russia,” the statement said.

The ministers noted that these allegations had already been officially refuted in late March in communications with Russian diplomatic missions in Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius. Despite this, they stressed, Russia continues to spread false claims as part of a disinformation campaign.

“Instead of continuing its malign information operation, Russia must end its war of aggression against Ukraine and fully withdraw its armed forces from all internationally recognized territory of Ukraine,” the statement added.

The ministers also reaffirmed that the Baltic states stand in full solidarity with Ukraine.

It should be noted that Russia has accused the Baltic states of allowing Ukrainian drones to use their airspace.
