Europe drafts postwar plan to free up Hormuz without U.S.

European countries are preparing a plan to form a broad international coalition aimed at restoring safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, including the deployment of mine-clearing and other military vessels.

Axar.az informs, citing The Wall Street Journal, that the initiative is expected to be launched only after the end of the ongoing conflict and could notably exclude the United States from direct participation.

The proposed coalition is intended to ensure freedom of navigation and rebuild confidence among global shipping companies operating in the strategically vital waterway.
