A humanitarian mission involving a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine in the “10-for-10” format is taking place in Belarus.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova told reporters about the exchange.

“At the moment, a prisoner exchange is taking place on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. This is ongoing work that we carry out jointly with the Ministry of Defense and relevant security agencies. Today, 10 of our men will be returned home,” she said.

It should be noted that earlier, on August 24, Russia and Ukraine carried out a “10-for-10” exchange of prisoners in Belarus’s Gomel Region.
