Russia is the most significant and direct threat to NATO and will remain so for the long term.

Axar.az reports that it was stated in the statement of the results of the meeting of the experts of the alliance countries on Russia.

"The meeting chaired by the Acting Deputy Secretary General Boris Rugen confirmed that Russia remains the most significant and direct threat to the security of allies. The participants emphasized that Russia is trying to fundamentally reshape the Euro-Atlantic security architecture and poses a threat," he noted.
