The European Union has lifted sanctions against Russian Formula 1 driver Nikita Mazepin and Violetta Prigozhina, the mother of former Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Axar.az reports that this information was noted in a statement published in the EU's official journal.

The EU Council has removed these individuals from the blacklist following the European Court's decision to lift the restrictive measures against them.
