Georgia will find the strength to apologize to the Ossetians for the military conflict in 2008, which was perpetrated by former President Mikheil Saakashvili and his United National Movement Party.

Axar.az reports that Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and honorary chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream Party, said these words.

According to him, forgiveness is the basis of the Christian faith, and therefore he is sure that the conflict will end with historical forgiveness and sincere reconciliation.

Ivanishvili once again stated that if the ruling party wins the parliamentary elections, all those responsible for the organization of military operations in 2008 will be brought to justice.

Before that, representatives of the ruling party had repeatedly promised to return South Ossetia and Abkhazia to the country and declare Saakashvili's United National Movement Party unconstitutional if they won the constitutional majority in the parliament.
