Ukrainian president, Azerbaijani PM meet

In the framework of the official visit to Azerbaijan, President Petro Poroshenko has had a meeting with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade, said a message posted on the Ukrainian president’s website July 14.


The parties have discussed a wide range of issues in the economic bilateral cooperation, particularly implementation of joint projects in energy, transport and agricultural spheres.


Special attention has been paid to the transportation of Azerbaijani energy carriers to the EU countries through Ukraine.


The president noted that Ukraine had an appropriate technological potential for the effective implementation of that project.


The head of state has also urged to use the potential of Ukrainian companies for the implementation of a series of infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan.


In the course of the meeting, Petro Poroshenko and Artur Rasizade have reiterated firm and indisputable support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Azerbaijan within the internationally recognized borders.
