Greenland tariffs to undermine transatlantic relations

New tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump on imports from eight European countries over the situation in Greenland will undermine transatlantic relations and weaken ties.

Axar.az reports that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said this in a post on X.

“Europe will remain united and coordinated, and committed to defending its sovereignty,” she stressed.

It should be noted that President Trump announced that a 10 percent tariff would be imposed from February 1 on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Finland, and the Netherlands due to Greenland
