US President Donald Trump has created a Peace Council and has already invited Russian President Vladimir Putin. Conducting an aggressive war against a neighboring country, apparently, does not prevent him from being a “peace judge.”
Axar.az reports that this was written by Sky News analyst Ivor Bennett.
“If Donald Trump does not recognize the irony, Ukrainians certainly do. Kyiv, which has been living under Russian missile attacks for nearly four years, will undoubtedly be outraged that the US president invited Vladimir Putin to join the Gaza Peace Council,” the article notes.
It is reported that the newly established council aims to oversee a ceasefire. However, Trump has not been able to achieve this in Ukraine. Moscow still adheres to the mantra ‘no ceasefire without a full peace agreement.’ The Kremlin continues to reject Ukraine’s demands to halt fighting along the current front line.
“He (Donald Trump) sees Putin not as an isolated figure but as a partner. This invitation will further strengthen growing doubts in Europe that Washington is significantly serving Moscow’s interests in peace negotiations. For Putin, this is a gift—a further step toward rehabilitation from international isolation,” the material concludes.
