Today meeting of US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford and Russian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Valeriy Gerasimov will be held in Baku.

Axar.az reports it was said by Defense Minister of Russia Sergei Shoigu.

He said that, they are waiting statement of Pentagon at the meeting in Baku:

"We will wait for Pentagon's position on the meeting of US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford and Russian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Valeriy Gerasimov in Baku today.We are ready to restore our relations with Pentagon. But attempts to build a dialogue with Russia from a position of strength would be futile".

Notably, yesterday head of Pentagon James Mattis told that dialogue with Russia should be from a position of strength.
