Azerbaijan is working on establishing communication lines through Iran.

Axar.az, citing Report, reports that this was stated by the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizadeh, in an interview with Real TV.

According to him, Armenia is distorting the trilateral declaration:

"This is disappointing for us. In the 9th point of the trilateral document, there are specific obligations regarding the opening of communications. If Armenia insists on its current position, Azerbaijan has alternative options. One of them is the construction of the relevant communication lines through Iran. Work is ongoing in this direction. If Armenia continues its self-isolation policy, that is its choice. This choice is not in their favor."
