"Armenia must abandon its arms policy; it must be put an end to. I have said this repeatedly, and they know that my words should be taken seriously. It is not too late yet, they should give it up, as they will never be able to compete with us."

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during his address to the people on Victory Day.

"We do not want war. We have achieved what we wanted; we ensured our territorial integrity and state sovereignty. Territorial integrity is now ensured along all borders, and former internally displaced persons and refugees are returning to their ancestral lands. We are now focused on construction work. This is our main priority," the President added.
