SMPPA warns ships of strong winds

The Ship Traffic Management Center of the State Maritime and Port Agency (SMPPA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MIND) has warned ships about windy weather conditions.

Axar.az reports, citing the agency, that according to the warning, the northwest wind, which will be observed in the Caspian Sea from September 11, will continue until the daytime hours of September 14.

During those days, the northwest wind is expected to strengthen to 18-23 m/s, occasionally to 25-28 m/s.

The wave height is predicted to reach 2-3 meters, and in further development, to 3-5 meters.
