Twin sisters born just 25 minutes apart have celebrated their 100th birthday together and reckon the secret to a long life is good food. Now, I don't know if they mean 'good' as in healthy, or 'good' as in Nando's, so sorry about that.

Irene Crump and Phyllis Jones, which are textbook 100 year-old-lady names, now live together and held a joint party at a local pub to celebrate hitting the milestone, surrounded by friends and family.

And, as if this pair couldn't get any sweeter, they refused presents for their special day, instead asking that donations be made to the air ambulance service.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Irene said: "We didn't want presents, we just wanted donations. We haven't got all the money in yet but we think we've done pretty well. It's a cause close to our hearts."
