Another attempt by the Armenian armed forces to seize positions in the direction of the Tovuz region of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border is another example of the insidious Armenian policy that has intensified since the 19th century.
Axar.az informs that, the statement came from Bahadir Bumin Ozarslan, a lecturer in international law at Hacettepe University in Turkey.
"With this attack, Armenia opposes the principle of "respect for territorial integrity and political sovereignty" enshrined in the UN Charter, which all countries must abide by. As is known, Armenia does not comply with four UN Security Council resolutions on Nagorno-Karabakh. All this is done for the purpose of the false dream of a "Greater Armenia", which is the ultimate goal of the expanded insidious Armenian policy. Another goal is to confront Turkey and Russia, whose relations have recently improved significantly. Turkey's growing presence in the region, as well as its presence in Libya, Syria and Iraq, is of serious concern and fear to Armenia. Armenia's illegal actions undermine the patience of Turkey and Azerbaijan, which respect international law. However, the aggressor must know that Azerbaijan, which complies with the terms of the ceasefire, also has the right to ensure and protect its territorial integrity. This right can be used if the opportunity to negotiate is exhausted," Ozarslan said.
