President Ilham Aliyev paid a business visit to Italy.

Axar.az reports that the visit of the head of state is planned for September 1-2.

The visit will take place at the official invitation of Italian President Sergio Mattarella and on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The purpose of the visit is to discuss current issues in a number of areas in the process of implementing the Joint Declaration on Strengthening the Multidimensional Strategic Partnership signed between our countries during the state visit of President I. Aliyev to Italy in February 2020, to further expand cooperation in these areas, and to determine the next result-oriented steps.

Within the framework of the visit, President Ilham Aliyev is expected to have a wide range of meetings with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
