The second lunar eclipse of 2024 will take place on September 18. This is a partial lunar eclipse.

Axar.az reports that according to information provided by the Department of Astrophysics at the Faculty of Physics of Baku State University, the partial lunar eclipse will begin at 04:41:02 Baku time and end at 08:47:18. The eclipse will reach its maximum at 06:44:10 on September 18. The partial phase will start at 06:12:48 and end at 07:15:35. The penumbral phase will begin at 04:41:02 and end at 08:47:18.

The second partial lunar eclipse of 2024 will be visible from any location where the Moon is above the horizon, including North and South America, Antarctica, Africa, Europe, Western Asia, and the southwestern part of Russia.

In Azerbaijan, the penumbral lunar eclipse will be visible in the early morning from 04:41 to 06:19.
