New school opened in Kirkuk with Azerbaijani funding

Azerbaijan's ambassador to Iraq, Nasir Mammadov, discussed joint activities in the region with Ershad Salehi, a deputy from the Kirkuk governorate. He later attended the opening of a school named after Muhammad Fuzuli in the region.

Axar.az reports that the Iraqi politician from the Turkoman Front Party posted on social media about their meeting.

"We welcomed the esteemed ambassador Nasir Mammadov in Kirkuk. We talked about possible joint activities between our dear Azerbaijan and the Turkomaneli region," the Iraqi politician noted.

Additionally, the Azerbaijani ambassador announced on social media that he participated in the opening ceremony of the primary school named after Muhammad Fuzuli in Kirkuk.

"The primary school named after M. Fuzuli has undergone major repairs and renovations financed by the Azerbaijani state," he reminded.
