Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with a delegation led by the Minister of Defense Industry, Co-Chairman of the Commission Vugar Mustafayev, who is on an official visit to Pakistan to participate in the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Joint Commission.
Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Defense Industry informed that the Prime Minister of the brotherly country, warmly greeting the Azerbaijani delegation, expressed his satisfaction with the increasing deepening of successful partnership and cooperation relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality shown and the conditions created for the expansion of bilateral relations, Co-Chairman of the Joint Commission, Minister V. Mustafayev conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan.
V. Mustafayev noted that the historical friendship and strategic partnership relations, which are constantly developing between our countries due to the purposeful policy and joint efforts of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Pakistan, have made significant contributions to the welfare and progress of our peoples.
In turn, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, asked to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the people of Azerbaijan.
The meeting noted the importance of the activities of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission for further strengthening mutual relations and emphasized the successful work being carried out further to expand the multifaceted cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Other issues of mutual interest were discussed to effectively ensure the state interests of reliable partners and fraternal countries.
