Azerbaijan's two-time Paralympic champion Ilham Zakiyev has been named an honorary coach.
Axar.az reports that the veteran athlete was awarded the title of an honorary coach in the awarding ceremony organized on the occasion of “Day of Physical Training and Sports at the Ministry of Youth and Sport on March 5.
Moreover, World and European weightlifting champion Nizami Pashayevand well-known taekwondo player Rashad Ahmadov were also awarded the title of Honorary Coach.
Former FIFA referee Anar Salmanov was named an honorary worker of physical training and sports.
The awards were presented by Ismayil Ismayilov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport, and Farid Mansurov, head of the department in the ministry.
