Nvidia plans to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI in a staged deal to build at least 10 gigawatts of AI data centers powered by Nvidia systems.
Axar.az reports that the partnership will allow OpenAI to train and run its next-generation models using Nvidia’s upcoming Vera Rubin chips, with the first phase coming online in late 2026.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang called the deal a major step toward “the next era of intelligence,” while OpenAI’s Sam Altman emphasized the importance of compute infrastructure for future economies. The collaboration complements OpenAI’s existing alliances with Microsoft, Oracle, SoftBank, and Stargate, and provides funding that will likely be spent on Nvidia products. News of the deal boosted Nvidia’s stock by 4% on Monday.
