Japan to spend $19B on AI model

The Japanese government intends to spend 3 trillion yen (about $ 19 billion) to create a national artificial intelligence model together with the private sector.

Axar.az informs that the Yomiuri newspaper reported on this.

More than 10 domestic companies, including giants such as SoftBank, will participate in the joint development.

According to the publication, the government intends to cover about a third of the costs. The rest will be financed by private firms.

Japan is expected to begin developing its own artificial intelligence in 2026. This will include the construction of advanced data centers.
