META.O, the "Meta" platform, is considering charging 16 euros (28 manats) per month for an ad-free subscription to Instagram or Facebook for European users.

Axar.az reports that "Meta" announced to the regulators that it is preparing to present an ad-free subscription plan for users in Europe in the coming months. Under the plan, users will continue to access Instagram and Facebook for free with personalized ads or pay for ad-free versions of the services.

As part of the plan, Meta told regulators it would charge desktop users about 10 euros (18 manats) per month for a Facebook or Instagram account and about 6 euros (11 manats) for each additional linked account, the report said.

According to VSJ, the price on mobile devices will increase to about 13 euros (23 manats) per month, as "Meta" will also take into account commissions from in-app payments of Apple and Google's application stores.
