Armenia plans peace deal with Azerbaijan ahead of elections

The Armenian government's agenda includes signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan before the parliamentary elections.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in an interview with Public Television.

"I have such an agenda. Let's not talk about perceptions. Since the discussions (on the draft peace treaty) ended in March last year, the signing was on the agenda in December, October, and April last year. Therefore, we will continue our work," Pashinyan said.

It should be noted that parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held on June 7.
