Trump eases immigration measures in Minneapolis

Tough immigration measures in Minneapolis have been suspended, Tom Homan, head of the Border Service.

Axar.az reports that it was said at a press conference held in the city.

He emphasized that coordination with local law enforcement agencies and the effectiveness of immigration control played a role in ending the operation: “I proposed it, and President Donald Trump also agreed to the conclusion of this operation.”

On November 29 last year, the United States government, acting on President Donald Trump’s instructions, deployed more than 3,000 immigration officers to Minneapolis and launched an operation against illegal immigration.

According to reports, before the operation, there were only 150 immigration officers in the city.

It is also noted that in recent weeks, two people have been killed as a result of gunfire opened by forces combating illegal immigration in the United States.
