Two U.S. Navy destroyers failed to transit Hormuz

At least two U.S. Navy destroyers were unable to transit the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports, citing Press TV, the USS Michael Murphy and USS Frank E. Peterson attempted to pass through the strategic waterway but were allegedly intercepted by Iranian naval forces and forced to retreat.

The report further claims that the vessels were ordered to turn back after being tracked and warned by Iranian forces, amid heightened tensions in the region.
