IDF Chief orders high readiness for possible Iran conflict

Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has instructed the military to move to a “heightened state of readiness” and prepare for a possible resumption of hostilities with Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing Ynet, the move comes amid the collapse of negotiations between the United States and Iran.

The IDF has begun a “combat readiness procedure,” with all units instructed to maintain high alert.

The report also notes that last week, during a visit to southern Lebanon, Zamir stated that the military is “prepared to return to combat [in Iran] with full force if required at any given moment.”
