Turkish president says Gulen behind PKK

Turkish President Erdogan says FETO terrorist organization masterminds the terrorist acts carried out by the PKK.

At a meeting with representatives of Pakistan’s Senate and parliament, the president said Turkey has become a target for terrorist organizations which vary in names but serve the same ambition, APA reported citing Milliyet.

Erdogan stressed that Turkey is well capable of continuing its fight against terrorist organizations. He also gave a message to the U.S., recalling the latter’s promise that the YPG, which operates as an armed wing of the PKK in Syria, would retreat from Manbij after capturing it from ISIL. The president said Turkey is waiting to see whether the promises will be fulfilled or not.

“To those who seek to achieve something in Iran and Syria that will threaten Turkey’s security: we’re conscious of everything,” he warned.

He added that the people of Turkey are going to cooperate with all security forces in their fight against terror.

“Currently, there are threats from the YPG in northern Syria. The West has never understood us and never will. We know this. They are not honest. But we’re going to continue the counter-terrorism operations and legal fight on a non-stop basis,” he said.
