Ukraine has launched an attack on North Korean troops for the first time since their deployment in the Russian border region, where Ukrainian forces have maintained control since August, according to an official statement.

Axar.az reports that , citing Bloomberg , "The first North Korean troops have already come under fire in the Kursk region," said Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation, which is part of the National Security and Defense Committee, in a Telegram message on Monday.

He did not provide further details.
