Hosting a prestigious international event like COP29 in Azerbaijan is a significant historical milestone. It also reflects Azerbaijan's high standing in the world.

Axar.az reports that these comments were made by Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, in an interview with Azertac.

He noted that this also showcases Azerbaijan's considerable experience in organizing international events.

"I wish Azerbaijan great success in hosting COP29 at a high level. During my visit to Baku, I observed the preparations underway for this major event in various venues. Therefore, I am confident that this conference will be held at the highest level and will be remembered in history," Papuashvili said, extending his best wishes to Azerbaijan in this endeavor.
