Germany expels 32 consulate staff

Following the execution of Iranian-German citizen Jamshid Sharmahd in Iran on October 29, Germany expelled 32 staff members from its consulates in the country.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared on the social media account of the German Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that on October 29, Jamshid Sharmahd, a 68-year-old Iranian-born German citizen accused of espionage and terrorism, was executed in Tehran.

Subsequently, Germany recalled its ambassador from Tehran and closed its consulates in three cities in Iran.
