Azerbaijan and Iraq discuss regional issues

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Huseyin.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

It was reported that during the telephone conversation, the current regional situation in the Middle East, the growing tension in the region, as well as the issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

Minister Fuad Huseyin gave detailed information about the latest developments in the region and pointed out that the expansion of the conflict is a serious concern.

The other side was informed about the final preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be hosted by our country in a few days, and possible areas of cooperation were touched upon.

The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
