Beyoğlu mayor summoned as suspect in CHP election probe

The chairman of Beyoğlu Municipality in Istanbul, Turkiye, İnan Güney, has been summoned to the prosecutor's office as a suspect.

Axar.az informs that TRT Haber reported this information.

According to the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office, İ. Güney was summoned as part of an investigation into the election process at the Republican People's Party (CHP) district congress in Istanbul.

The investigation was launched over allegations of irregularities in the election at the mentioned CHP congress and violations of the Political Parties Law.
