Turkiye is preparing for a military operation in Syria to prevent the threats from ISIS and protect its interests in the region.

Axar.az reports that the "Turkiye" newspaper published information about this.

It was stated that important steps are expected to be taken in the coming months that will affect the future of Syria and the Middle East:

"These include signing a defense and cooperation agreement with Syria, establishing military bases, and strengthening positions in strategic areas such as Khums and Palmyra."

It is noted that one of Ankara's main priorities in the region is to contain Israel. In this regard, Turkiye and Syria are working together to strengthen security on the Lebanese border and in other important areas, including the Golan Heights.
