I vice president of Azerbaijan Republic Mehriban Aliyeva was elected as a honorary member of the union of architects.

Axar.az reports that it was announced by the chairman of the union of architects Elbey Gasimzade during II Region conference of presidents of section members.

He also noted that Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded "Academician Mikayil Huseynov" medal for her services on protection of architectural sites.
