Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the special representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Igor Khovayev.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It was reported that Azerbaijan-Russia bilateral relations, the work done within the framework of regional platforms, the current situation and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the current situation in the region and the latest developments were discussed at the meeting.

J. Bayramov informed about the negotiation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the draft peace agreement. At the same time, it was pointed out that the ongoing claims against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Armenian constitution and other legislative acts are the main obstacle within the process.

During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged.
