A meeting was held between the Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, and the Minister of Defense of Italy Guido Crosetto, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan. The Minister of Defense of Italy was invited to the 5th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition "ADEX".

It was reported that Z. Hasanov emphasized that the relations between the two countries are based on strategic partnership. He thanked his Italian colleague for being with us on the significant day of Azerbaijan - the Day of the Armed Forces and the 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Army.

Minister of Defense invited Mr. G. Crosetto to the 5th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition "ADEX" to be held in Baku in September.

Noting that he was satisfied with every visit to Azerbaijan and saw a sincere attitude, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Italy expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown. He emphasized the importance of mutual visits in the development of military cooperation between the two countries.

At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the current state of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy, as well as the prospects for the development of cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational and other fields, as well as a detailed exchange of views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
