Russia is implementing constructive measures in the South Caucasus, and thanks to these efforts, Baku and Yerevan are making successful progress toward normalizing bilateral relations.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, during a briefing for military attaches of foreign states.

"Unlike the destructive actions of the West, Russia is carrying out constructive measures in this region. Thanks to our efforts, it is clear that Baku and Yerevan have achieved a clear positive progress on the path to normalizing bilateral relations," Gerasimov said.

According to him, one of the most challenging areas of the interstate border, the demarcation of the line between Azerbaijan's Gazakh district and Armenia's Tavush region, has now been completed.
