China to launch an artificial sun in 2020

Chinese scientists are working on the creation of an EAST thermonuclear reactor called an "artificial sun".

Axar.az reports citing Newsweek.

According to the report, the "artificial sun" will be ready for full use by 2020. It is noted that it will be 13 times hotter than the original version of the Sun.

If the device succeeds, scientists are expected to approach the ultimate goal of nuclear fusion - unlimited cheap and clean energy.
