WhatsApp to stop working on outdated Android and iOS

As of today, WhatsApp will withdraw its services from certain devices, affecting millions of users.

Axar.az reports that the Facebook-owned app will longer run on Android and iPhone devices which only support outdated operating systems.

The company's website states you can no longer "create new accounts, nor reverify existing accounts on Android versions 2.3.7 and older and iOS 8 and older".

This is because the app "will no longer actively develop" for those operating systems, meaning some features will stop functioning at any time.
