China has launched an investigation into Alibaba

China's State Administration of Market Regulation has launched an investigation into the alleged monopoly activity, including special business deals, on the Alibaba Group.

Axar.az informs that such special business deals of Alibaba do not allow entrepreneurs to sell their products on e-commerce platforms of other companies.

Alibaba said in a statement that the company was ready to actively cooperate with the state administration in the investigation of the allegations.

The news of the investigation has seriously affected the price of Alibaba shares on the stock exchanges. On December 24, the company's shares fell 8.13% on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
