In the US, the rules on social networks are being tightened

A bill has been proposed in the United States to simplify the litigation of online platforms.

Axar.az reports that the new bill simplifies the process of litigation of online platforms and social networks in the United States.

The new bill was proposed by the US Democratic Party. The new bill will facilitate the prosecution of those who share insulting or harmful content.

The reason for the new bill is that the previous rules are softer. Thus, under previous laws, lawsuits against any user for insulting and malicious sharing on social networks and online platforms were not fully satisfied. The court dismissed or dismissed these complaints as soon as possible.

Under the new rules, online platforms will also be responsible for fake and malicious advertising.

If the new bill is passed, it will tighten decisions against a number of platforms, including social networks such as Facebook, YouTube, Google, Twitter, and e-commerce sites such as Amazon and Etsy. They will have to follow the rules more strictly, otherwise, they will be punished according to the law.
