Permanent human life on Mars will be possible by the end of the decade.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Robert Zubrin, a well-known US engineer and president of the Mars Society.
He noted that the first millionth city on the red planet could be created in 2100. The expert assessed the plans of American businessman Elon Musk to launch flights to Mars in 2026.
According to Zubrin, such flights will be possible until 2030, but before that Mask will be able to send the cargo ship Starship to Mars and begin automated construction of the base.
"By now, we can send a thousand people to Mars, and they will create industrial and agricultural opportunities on Mars to provide more people," Zubrin said.
