Ukraine energy crisis triggers outages in Moldova

Power outages have occurred in Moldova due to serious problems in Ukraine’s energy system.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Moldova’s Energy Ministry.

“The electricity transmission system operator Moldelectrica is carrying out emergency work to stabilize the situation. Power supply has already been restored in a number of settlements,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian media reported that due to the accident in the country’s energy system, several districts of Kyiv are currently without water supply.

In addition, train movement and escalator operations in the Kyiv metro have been temporarily suspended due to a malfunction.
