A vehicle carrying a group of war correspondents was attacked by an explosives-laden kamikaze drone while returning to Donetsk after filming the aftermath of Ukrainian neo-Nazis shelling civilian areas in Horlivka.

Axar.az reports these remarks from Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, who discussed the drone attack on Russian journalists.

“The tragedy occurred far from the contact line. There is no doubt that media personnel were deliberately targeted in a deadly attack. Statements from survivors of the attack confirm this. All those responsible for the crime against Russian journalists will be identified and face just and inevitable punishment,” she said.

Notably, the drone attack yesterday killed Izvestia freelance correspondent Alexander Martemyanov and injured four other journalists.
