Leyla Aliyeva attends YARAT Art Weekend

At the YARAT Contemporary Art Center, the latest project titled “Breath – the Unity of Word and Voice” was presented as part of the initiative “Fly to Baku. Art Weekend. Sense the Future NOW.”

Axar.az reports that the event was attended by Leyla Aliyeva, initiator of the Art Weekend project, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, as well as Arzu Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva.

For the festival, the immersive performance prepared by the SÖZ multidisciplinary center combined mystical music, Sufi poetry, and the power of the human voice. Ethnic melodies and melodramatic declamations performed by the Savalan and Chardaq groups created an atmosphere of spiritual unity, depth, and reflection.

Poet and creator of the SÖZ multidisciplinary center, Nigar Həsənzadə, stated that the idea for the project emerged immediately after receiving an invitation to the Fly to Baku. Art Weekend. Sense the Future NOW festival.

Discussing the philosophy of the performance, N. Həsənzadə explained that the project unites mystical music, poetry, and the power of the human voice.

The Art Weekend festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is being held in Baku for the first time and will continue until November 2.
